SAHAR vs. multinational pharma
When three of the world's largest pharmaceutical companies challenged SAHAR's parallel importation of essential medicines, the case was thrown out by the Department of Justice, the Court of Appeals, and finally the Supreme Court, which affirmed that the law does not prohibit parallel importation of medicines.

Atorvastatin calcium tablets
SAHAR was the first company to bring Atorvastatin calcium tablets to the Philippine market after the innovator, cutting the price of one of the country's most prescribed medicines.

Founder & Chairman, Sahar Group of Companies
Mr. Bhyria founded SAHAR in 1988 as a small family business distributing carpets and bed linens. Under his direction it evolved into a nationwide distributor of healthcare products, spanning pharmaceuticals, biologics, medical devices, cosmetics, foods and industrial goods.
His conviction that monopoly pricing on life-saving medicine can and should be broken took SAHAR into the country's highest halls, from Senate forums on the Cheaper Medicines Act to a Supreme Court victory against three of the world's largest pharmaceutical companies.
Today the group he built operates multiple branches and sister companies across the Philippines and the region, with the same objective it started with: quality medicine, priced for every Filipino.
